How you can help
We need your support
When we invest in our local community, we all benefit.
We’re appealing to people living and working in the borough to come together to take collective action, pool donations and ensure funding goes where it is needed most.
Together, we can tackle hidden needs and make a real difference to people living locally.

Making unpaid carers our priority
Every day, unpaid carers across Richmond dedicate their time, energy and love to support family members, friends, and neighbours in need – often without recognition or support.
Three in five of us will become carers at some point in our lives, looking after a loved one who has a disability, a mental or physical illness, or who needs extra help as they grow older. These responsibilities affect people of all ages and are often emotionally and physically challenging.
- Across Richmond, around 19,000 people are known to provide unpaid care – although the true figure could be much higher.
- There are 20% more people living with dementia in Richmond than in the rest of London. Most of these people will require additional care.
- The economic value of unpaid carers across England and Wales is estimated to be more than £160 billion a year.
